A variety of adventures in nature and exciting outdoor experiences – this is what the perfect summer holiday looks like. But obviously this means something different to everyone. So here with us, everyone will find exactly what they are looking for: whether it’s the BERG AKTIV fitness and vital programme, or the FAMILIENNEST and TEENIE ACTION family adventure programmes – boredom is definitely a foreign word here.
The BERG AKTIV fitness and vital programme for all ages offers a rich array of summer activities to make your holiday unforgettable – when the sun is shining, and even when it’s raining! What awaits you? A comprehensive hiking repertoire – from gentle, circular leisure strolls or extensive Nordic walking excursions, to exciting, themed hikes and demanding tours that are sure to strengthen your calf muscles. Adrenalin kicks at the high ropes course, canyoning or hurtling down the Flying Fox, and many more adventures lend the programme an extra portion of variety. And, of course, if you’re passionate about cycling, you’re sure to find the mountain bike route that suits you best: whether you’re a beginner, XC rider, marathon lover or an enduro rider – BIKE AKTIV will show you which way to go.
Please note: Sturdy footwear should always be worn when hiking. For the high mountain tours, it is essential to be sufficiently fit. Bikes, mountain boots, rainwear, backpacks and telescopic poles can all be hired locally in the sports shops in Gerlos.
We would be pleased to give you advice and information on all activities. The BERG AKTIV programme is available free of charge from 23 June to 20 September.

Please note: Please apply sufficient sun cream to your children before the start of the programme, and don’t forget to provide them with sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sun cream). You will also need to give them their own snack and drinks for the midday break. Naturally the programme is free of charge for children on presentation of the Zell-Gerlos guest card (ArenaScheck).

While you are still pleasurably stretched out in bed, you are already dreaming of the perfectly prepared slopes. Later during the ample breakfast your whole body is tingling and you can hardly wait any longer. So quickly put your ski boots on and get yourself into the gondola – a perfect day’s skiing awaits you on the pistes of the Zillertal Arena.
The Zillertal Arena extends from Zell in the Zillertal Valley, via Gerlos to Wald-Königsleiten and Krimml-Hochkrimml in SalzburgerLand, making it the largest ski region in the Zillertal Valley. Here you will find the most action-packed winter holiday: 143 kilometres of pistes and 52 lifts, with differences in altitude ranging from 580 to 2,500 metres, and safe and varied skiing for all abilities. In brief: sheer winter enjoyment. And best of all: our Alpenland is located right alongside the new Dorfbahn gondola lift and the ski run in Gerlos.
The highlights:
The professional skiers of tomorrow are right at home here with us: wonderful children’s slopes, special practice lifts and large children’s areas make the Zillertal Arena the perfect skiing terrain for families with children. At the 9 ski schools in the Zillertal Arena, they know exactly how to teach children to ski the fun way – and of course the major skiing race for children with a prize ceremony at the end of the ski course is an absolute must. Young skiers who have had a little more practice will master their first obstacles on the fun runs, speed-check stretches and funparks that have been specially developed for little ones. There is also a child collection service, air-balloon take-offs, snow sailing, tyre slides, a children’s ski disco and of course a kindergarten for children aged 1 and over.
